Under our recent contract, UEL was responsible for the Supply of Equipment for Hakkari Integrated Solid Waste Management.
Following on from last December, the team kindly uploaded Lot 6: Bins, this relates to another lot that we were awarded and have since successfully delivered – Lot 5: Containers for Various Purposes.
The contract comprised the supply of 40 containers of various sizes and functions. These were sourced from a local Turkish manufacturer and delivered to the end user in Hakkari, Turkey. All units were designed and manufactured in accordance with CE standards, as well as the international DIN 30722 standard.
This project forms part of a wider environmental infrastructure initiative aimed at improving waste management capabilities in a region bordering Syria and Iraq. Working closely with the client, we managed the procurement, coordination, and delivery of the containers to support efficient waste collection, segregation, and handling.
Breakdown of quantities:
• 1 Household Hazardous Container
• 15 Press Containers
• 4 Open Top Containers
• 20 Mobile Green Point Containers
Each container type was selected to meet specific operational requirements, ranging from the safe handling of hazardous household waste to high-volume waste compaction and flexible mobile collection solutions. The Mobile Green Point Containers, in particular, provide adaptable infrastructure for communities with limited fixed waste facilities.
Despite logistical and regional challenges, all units were successfully delivered and deployed. These containers are now being used in parallel with Lot 6: Bins, contributing to a more comprehensive and sustainable waste management system for the end user.
This project highlights our capability to deliver complex, multi-lot contracts in challenging environments while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and execution.
